Le Chevalier des Grieux did...
...leaving Paris to follow the woman he loves to the
colonies. Come share in the experience of Manon's
life journey - wrongly cast out of France, sold into
slavery in the new world.
Struggling to choose between the man she loves, and
the lure of power and money...Finding that love, greed,
and deception thrive on both sides of the Atlantic...Even
in the deserts of Louisiana.
Come enjoy an evening of opera performed in French
with English dialogue and supertitles, accompanied
by full orchestra in the beautiful and historic Los
Angeles Theatre.
Lyric Opera of Los Angeles proudly presents

produced in Paris at the Opéra-Comique in April
of 1856.
